This list is a completely moderated list for the time being.
It is meant for the reviewing and recommending of software.
Its NOT for software bashing.
What didn't work for you may be just the right thing for some one else...
- Please NO flaming of users/manufacturers.
- No bashing of software... if its not constructive criticism Please keep it to yourself.
- Advertising of your own software is encouraged, please try to follow guidelines below.
- Opinions on suggested software are welcome (ie.. i tried xxxx and heres what i thought of it).
- Try and keep subject lines clear.. preferable examples:
"email software requested (mac)" could be anything and everything dealing with email from actual email clients to something that removes the >>> in email.
"Game review/suggestion (pc)" could be any type of game and readers know it has nothing to do with email software so if they aren't interested they can skip it.
This makes deciding what to read and what not to all that much easier for everyone (moderators may alter subject lines).
- Updates to previous suggested software is welcome and appreciated.
If some one liked it im sure they want to know that the newer version is available.
When requesting software recommendations:
- Please specify which OS you require.
- What you want/expect it to do.
- Add as many details/requirements as possible.
- If/when you find a software that meets your requirements please let us know (by way of quick review).
When submitting reviews Please include (where possible):
- The Name of the software.
- OS applicable.
- The url of original homepage or reputable site full path where possible.
- Approximate size of download.
- Current version # if possible/applicable.
- Author or manufacturer.
- Cost (ie Freeware/shareware/postcardware).
Short description of what the software does.. ease of use.. resources used...
as many other important details others should know before deciding to check it out fully..
and of course your own personal opinion of what you liked about it.
